'Care Bare' is the result of a twenty-week graduation project in which I took on the role of social designer. Originally my topic was 'women and age', but over time the focus of my project shifted and my new topic became 'the sexualization of girls and the infantilization of women'.
The final product is a video montage (view here), projected onto a wall made of stuffed animals.  The montage combines dozens of media examples that infantilize women, sexualize girls, or simply portray the female stereotype. The examples come from movies, TV series, advertisements, TikToks, porn, interviews and photo shoots. The strength of my project therefore lies in the abundance of examples, with which I want to confront the viewer.
Below you can find more stuff I made for this project, but didn't use in the final product. If you are interested in my design process, you can click this link. It's a big file so it might take a while to load.  😺

A small experiment made with Adobe XD to convey what it's like to see these infantilising and sexualising photo's  on your Instagram feed. Click this link to view the whole thing.
